Covid 19 Information

A lot of changes were made and continue to be made since the 3 month shutdown earlier this year.



Safety and Entertainment are at the core of who we are as a business.  We are taking every possible precaution following all CDC guidelines.   COVID-19 continues to present significant health and economic challenges to people and organizations across the globe. The safety and well-being of our employees, customers and communities remains our top priority.  Below we’re sharing a Q&A to help make your experience as smooth as possible at Fixation VR.

Q: What can I expect when I visit Fixation VR for my VR Booking?

New appointments:  We recommend making a reservation online at  or by calling us at (682) 404-6445.  

Capacity Limits:  With 5000 square feet of space we have more than adequate room to provide social distance for quite a few people.  Our intention is to keep the Arcade capacity at under 25 people providing each person with roughly 200 square feet of space.   However, out of home entertainment is not an essential service so we are seeing very few customers.  During the week we have switched to a completely on call model with our staff.  It means we need a couple of hours of notice for the arcade to be opened to provide VR sessions.  We like to maintain a 4 customer to 1 staff member ratio so if you only see 4 slots available to book it is most likely because we have 1 staff member working not that we have 10 other customers.

Limit one-on-one interaction:  Our greetings and goodbyes will be touchless, love ya’ mean it, but safety first – we won’t be shaking hands or hugging at this time.  Upon arrival, we invite you to check-in with a team member, and then be provided hand sanitizer.  We will ask that you sign the Fixation VR Waiver here  (first time customers) and pay prior to arrival.  

Equipment usage:  Prior to the shut down the staff would normally help you to put on your head set and get your controllers ready.  Now we will do a demonstration of how the equipment works and you will be able to put it on and adjust it yourself.  It’s not difficult, just a change to how we operate.

Social Distancing:  Each of our VR Stations has it’s own dedicated 10×10 play space.  Once you are in your playspace with your head set on, you are socially distanced from other customers and staff.  VR is naturally socially distanced as you need room to move around!

Masks:  We require that you wear a mask coming and going from the Arcade and anytime you are outside of your playspace.  We ask that you wear one that secures behind the ears and covers your nose and mouth at all times while not playing.  If you do not have a mask, a disposable one will be provided to you.  You are allowed to wear a mask while playing but it can interfere with the experience, so we do allow you the option of removing it while playing, since you are socially distanced at that time.   All of our staff are required to wear masks. 

Limited Items and Guests: We ask that you arrive for your appointment at the time of your appointment and no earlier.  Please limit any belongings that you bring with you.  Please do not bring any extra guests with you and if you are planning to have chaperones or watchers please let us know how many (max 1 per player) so that we can account for them in our capacity planning.  No pets are allowed in the Arcade.  

Q: What personal protection protocols and safety measures are you taking?  We’re expanding safety and sanitization measures including the following:

  • Operation by appointment only; only guests with a pre-reserved appointment will be invited in.
  • All tools, stations, chairs, seating areas, and doors will be sanitized between each guest. The Arcade is cleaned and disinfected each day.
  • We have periodic Ozone Treatments of the Air in the Arcade that will kill any viruses in the air or on any surface.

We ask for your patience and understanding during this time as we are working quickly and very diligently to be both accommodating and conscientious to your needs.   We are incorporating new and improved sanitation practices into every aspect of our operation.
