Budget Cuts VR
Budget Cuts is a VR stealth game where you dexterously zip, sneak or rambo your way forward through thrilling, oil-splatter filled combat!
Built for Virtual Reality from the ground up, Budget Cuts is a stealth game set in a dystopian office-scape with tons of evil robots and even more knives (for throwing and stabbing them with!) Use your TransLocator gun to teleport through the many departments of TransCorp. Sneak around corners, hide behind air vents, or go nuts with lots of robot-killing action!
Put on your VR headset to unleash your inner office spy ninja skills and save both your job and your life in this unique VR stealth game. As an employee at mega conglomerate TransCorp, your role as a paper shuffling filer has been put under threat by the arrival of cost-cutting robots. And as your latest co-worker has been dragged off to the terrifying HR department, your only chance to survive is to take matters into your own hands.
Dexterously zip or silently sneak your way through the office, and defend yourself using super sharp letter openers to disable your deadly robotic hunters in close quarter combat.
At some point in our seemingly inevitable dystopian future, we’ll all be replaced by robots, machines, and other automatons. Even the written word isn’t safe, as evidenced by OpenAI’s language generator, which wrote a clear and cohesive op-ed on what it means to be a machine. Of course, these machines work for us.
But what if they didn’t?
What if machines didn’t ascribe to Asimov’s Laws of Robotics? It’s an idea that’s popped up in innumerable pieces of popular culture from The Terminator, to Mega-Man, to Doctor Who and countless other compositions of consumable media.
Killer robots are a sci-fi staple, and at the centre of Budget Cuts, they’re a delightful VR experience that has you dodging murderous machines as you try to escape certain death at their mechanical hands. You’ll play as one of the last human workers at TransCorp, one of those great big multinational companies that’re usually filled with dreary office workers going through the motions waiting for it to be Friday.
