Does it feel real?

Yes! Although you are placed in an environment that is not real, your body will react as if it is. You may feel your stomach drop at tall heights or you will jump at surprises around the corner. When underwater, you will try to hold your breath! So much fun!!!



Can we record ourselves playing?

Yes! We encourage you to film yourself or we can do it for you and send it to you!

What is VR?

Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment. Unlike traditional user interfaces, VR places the user inside an experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, users are immersed and able to interact with 3D worlds.

What Games Do You Have?

At Fixation we are constantly adding games to our library. For a full list of the games we offer, please visit the games tab in the top right hand corner!

There Is A Game I Want To Play But You Don't Have It

We’re always looking to expand our Experiences Library with the latest new content! If you have a suggestion for a experience you want to see at Fixation, please let us know and we will see if it is feasible to add. If you own a game that’s missing from the Games Library, don’t hesitate to ask to log into your own Steam account and play!

How Do I Book Time?

Prepaid bookings guarantee your VR Station and are done in advance either through our online booking system, or over the phone (682-404-6445).

Walk Ins are based on space and staff availability on any given day.

Do I have to get there before my appointment?

Please arrive on time for your scheduled booking as we cannot guarantee you will get your full play time if you do not. Do expect to be in the arcade for your selected duration (30 minutes, 60 minutes, etc) + 15 minutes. So if you book for 60 minutes, plan to arrive on time and expect to stay for 75 minutes.

Age Limit?

We recommend for ages 8 and up. Players must be able to read directions in the headset, follow basic instructions, be responsible with the equipment and know their right from their left.

Cost?

Cost varies by amount of time you want to play and if you are sharing headsets or if everyone has their own. Check out full details under the “PRICING” Tab!

We also offer memberships, members get discounted pricing of $25/hour for the length of their purchased membership and after the first visit, they can bring a friend and they get the member’s pricing too!.

Do you serve alcohol?

We are BYOB, but we do not offer alcohol for sale nor do we serve alcohol.

You are responsible for the responsible consumption of what you bring. However, we do not tolerate any disrespectful conduct towards staff or other customers.



Is it expensive?

Purchasing VR gaming equipment and accessories can get pricey. Fortunately, Fixation has all the equipment and games available for you to play. We have a variety of ways to experience VR at different price points

Do I have to be a gamer to enjoy playing VR?

No! The majority of VR enthusiasts are non-gamers. There is a VR experience for everyone, whatever their interests. You can experience new environments, paint a 3D masterpiece, or play with friends in an alternate reality!

Can I Play My Own Games?

Yes! If you have your own Steam account with your own library of VR games, then you’re more than welcome to sign into your personal account and play! Just remember that the more time you spend logging in, the less time you’ll have to play!

Do I Have To Play Alone Or Can I Play With Friends?

VR is a social experience! We can put you all in the same experience so you will play with your friends. You will see each other’s character’s in the headset and communicate over the mics. Number of players in an experience is based on how the game was designed.

How many people can I bring?

Players: Our location has the capacity to have 15 people playing simultaneously, and up to 10 in a single multiplayer session (this is based on game limitations). We can accommodate larger groups as well, so check out our party packages.

Non-Players: 1 non-player per player is allowed for most VR. Shared VR stations have limited allowances.. More watchers than that incurs a fee. Watchers must stay in the same area as the players they are accompanying. All children under 12 that are not playing must be supervised by an adult and cannot wander into other play areas.

Can I Walk In? Or do I have to book ahead?

Walk Ins are welcome based on space and staff availability. Prepaid bookings are guaranteed

Glasses?

Absolutely! Our headsets are designed to be usable while wearing MOST eyeglasses.

We do recommend contacts if possible though as very active players find that more comfortable.

Do you serve food or drinks?

We have drinks and snacks available for purchase. We allow outside food and drinks, which can be consumed in the seated areas. Food/Drink is not allowed in the play area due to safety reasons.
